Sr. Test Engineer

• Participates and provides input during requirements and specification walkthroughs; contributes to the development of the test plans; to the development of project and release Master Test Strategy documents
• Involved in Functionality, Integration, System, Regression, Performance, and Stress Testing
• Defines, develops, and maintains test scripts. Independently executes test plans and test scripts based on planned project schedules
• Records and tracks defects uncovered during the execution of tests and actively participate in resolution; proposes and designs retest cases/scripts/data to retest defects
• Owns a defect from identification, through triage and retest of the corrected code
• Contributes to project planning, risk tracking and mitigation, and effective communication
• Timely and accurate entry of status, defect information and metrics to facilitate accurate/timely reporting
• Communicates test processes as described in test plan to project team
• Find incomplete test cases
• Understand and help implement test automation
• Helps quantify risk and quality metrics for a project
• Provides unique, detailed, and consistently high quality product feedback on SDLC deliverables - specification review, physical designs, testing documentation.
• Impacts entire feature decisions across disciplines
• Raise issues and work through problems with project team.
• Able to independently work and estimate work assignments.

Required Skills:

• STRONG HOLD ON SDLC AND TEST METHODOLOGIES
• HANDS-ON EXPERIENCE IN DEVELOPING AND MAINTAINING TEST SCRIPTS INCLUDING FUNCTIONAL, INTEGRATION, SYSTEM, REGRESSION AND PERFORMANCE TESTING
• A SOLID GROUNDING IN MANUAL & AUTOMATED TEST EXECUTION, TEST SCRIPT WALKTHROUGHS, TRACKING BUG REPORTS
• STRONG KNOWLEDGE IN THE SOA SPACE. HANDS ON EXPERIENCE IN TESTING WEBSERVICES
• GOOD KNOWLEDGE ABOUT WRITING CLIENT CODE TO CONSUME WEBSERVICES AND KNOWLEDGE ABOUT WEBSERVICES AUTOMATION TESTING
• Proficient in planning, writing, and executing test specifications.
• Experience writing solid bug reports and analysis
• SQL - RDBMS concepts

Desired Skills:

• DEVELOPMENT EXPERIENCE WITH VB, C#, ASP.NET, SQL
• Biztalk testing experience
