Development Manager
o Be the Technical Leader of a team of developers supporting all the team’s line of business applications.
o Drive the technical vision, roadmap, and enterprise application standards.
o Build and maintain effective relationships with the Microsoft Business Systems communities to leverage and showcase best practices.
o Align with and support BUIT SDLC standards, processes, and practices.
o Drive solutions with high rates of return to the Business and IT (Value Realization Process).
o Deliver solutions that enable MS strategic partners to leverage and take to market.
o Mentor, grow, and establish a core development bench that has the application breadth & depth across team.
o Enable the development team to deliver high-quality and reliable applications efficiently (via tools, processes, best practices, etc).
o Manage the overall development capacity (resources and budget) by leveraging alternative delivery models.
Experience:-
o Demonstrated technical experience with Microsoft tools including, SQL Server, Analysis Services, Office, .Net framework
o Managing multifaceted development teams-ideally in a highly matrixed environment
o Demonstrated custom software development for large-scale line of business applications utilizing a formal software development lifecycle (SDLC)
o Proven track record of effectively working with teams of dispersed resources
o Demonstrated experience in the use of project management techniques
o Proven track record in the mentoring of and growing of leadership within a development community
o Demonstrated experience in n-tier development
o Ability to actively engage business partners and drive to successful outcomes in challenging situations
o Ability to define and drive standardized development metrics - Proven track record managing a team through technological and organization change
o Deep understanding and experience implementing business intelligence applications
o Dedication to the use of development best practices
o Sound problem resolution, judgment, negotiating, and decision making skills
o Strong ability to succeed within ambiguous environment at the group level
o Instincts and ability to work efficiently to handle multiple simultaneous projects
o Good cross group collaboration skills
Nice To Have:-
Understanding of the technological roadmap for SQL Server, Analysis Services, .Net framework and Microsoft’s Business Intelligence applications
