Deputy Director (Finance & Projects)

Reporting to: Director for India
Location : Delhi

Responsibilities

· To lead, manage and guide the finance, accounts, and field project functions of the Mission in India.

· To coordinate budgeting, accounting and programme planning processes as per established procedures and guidelines.

· To guide the interface between project development team and donors/external funding agencies.

Knowledge / Skills:

· Should have sound understanding of accounts and finance activities in an organization of national presence.

· Effective cross-cultural communication.

· Skills in leadership and management of people of diverse backgrounds across the country.

· Strong people skills with ability to supervise and motivate professional staff.

· Mature understanding of project development, design, and implementation.

· Sound understanding of criteria of foreign donations, F C R A etc..

· Exceptional report writing and communication skills with an eye for the detail.

Experience:

· Minimum 10 years of significant experience in Finance and Accounts functions at senior management level.

· Strong experience in managing human and financial resources.

· Previous experience in NGO sector, donor funding, and government negotiations would be an advantage.

Personal Qualities:

· A committed Christian in full sympathy with the objectives of The Mission.

· Participative and collaborative working approach.

· Ability to undertake frequent travel.

· Ability to take decisions and work in complex and challenging environments.

Qualification:

· A Chartered Accountant Or MBA in Finance from a reputed institution.
