Instrument Engineer

Qualifications: Ideal candidates shall have a Bachelors degree in Electrical / Instrumentation / Control Engineering (or equivalent). The candidate should have a minimum of 2 years postgraduate experience in design and specification of instrumentation and control systems for facilities related to the Oil & Gas, Refinery and/or Petrochemical Industries. The candidate should possess an up-to-date knowledge of Industry and International Codes and Standards. You must be used to working in a multidiscipline project team environment.

Job Description: The candidate should have an ability to work efficiently and demonstrate effective organizational skills, ability to handle multiple tasks and strong communication and presentation skills including fluent written and spoken English. The job will be based in Dubai and will involve assistance in the design and specification of instrumentation and control systems for offshore installations, preparation of instrument data sheets, specifications, requisition packages and preparation of C&E charts. The successful candidate must be fully familiar with international codes and standards and SIL and recommended practices to be adopted during FEED & EPC phases of oil/gas projects. Thorough knowledge of DCS, ESD, F&G and SCADA systems generally incorporated in major oil/gas projects is essential. Participation with contribution during P&IDs reviews shop & field testing of control systems shall be demonstrable during project execution.
